PHILIPPINES STORY!
“My First Week in Philippines”
On Sunday,
21th January, we arrived in ninoy aquino international airport. The coordinator
pick up me and rika go to the house of university of northern philippines in
manila. We arrived in manila at 02.00 am. We had toke a rest for 6 hours before
we continue our long trip to vigan city. Vigan is too far from manila, we spent time until 10 hours for arriving there.
I met with 4 students from makassar state university and sebelas maret
university. In our trip, the coordinator such us mam christa and mam jane had
given us chance to eat the traditional food of philippines. We had visited
pangasinan traditional food.
After that,
we continue our next trip go to vigan city, its spent 5 hours arrived there
from pangasinan. After 5 hours left, i had arrived in University of Northern
Philippines, tamag, vigan city. We had took a rest for a moment in alumni
association building. We call this place with “DORM”.
On Monday,
22th january, we only stayed in our dorm until afternoon. In the
afternoon, we went to the market for buy some foods for us. So when i still
here we should cook some foods by our self. Because its too hard to find the
halal food here.
On Tuesday,
23th january, the coordinator invited us come to longganisa
festival. Longganisa is one of a big festival ini vigan city, it happened one
time a year. So we were lucky can see this festival. In the morning there was
some parade like marchine band in vigan city. In the night we saw the dancing
competition in the vigan city hall. That was so amazing moment for me!!! J
On Wednesday,
24th january we went to JTC and Argo to find the bag and the shoes
for us wkwk, we only had shop for that day. After that we back again to the
dorm for take a rest. On thursday 25th january 2018, we still did
the same activity to shopping and went arround of vigan city and then back
again to the dorm.
On Friday,
january 26th 2018, that was my first time to observed the class
room. I should teach the physical science. My mentor name is Elmarie T. Rin we
call her “mam rin’. She’s so friendly and she always helped me for anything. I
entered to the class with mam rin at 09.30 am. She thaught atomic mass and
atomic numbers. I learned the method that she used. The first she opened the
class by review the lesson that she had given before and then she asked the
students about the lesson by call their name and then the student should answer
the question. She taught the subject with discussion methods. If she already explained
about the subject and she ask the students to gave her the question. And then
she gave the student question, later can be answer by the student. She used
that methods to see how far the student understand about the lesson. After she
explained all of matery she had gave 20 question of post test to the student. All
of student can could answer the question. Only some student could answer half
of the question. I think she had a good methods to invited the student learn
more about the physical science.
On 27th
until 28th january, we didn’t have the activity cz its holiday. So
we went to crissologo destination place and bantay bell tower, that was so
amazing destination place!!! i recomended you to go there someday.. hihi.. when
we were back to dorm we should find the mosque for magrib prayer, and i found
the mosque here.... i couldn’t say anything cz im so happy.. i never seen the
mosque during me stayed here. I met with the moslem philippines and they was so
kind for us. I feel more happy when they said to us “assalamualaikum” that’s so
incredible moment for meJ
After toke
a prayer so we went to vigan city hall to see the dancing water festival, we
known that vigan is one of the country which has so many culture. So we can
find so many festival heree!!!!!....
Vigan is an old city. So many buildings like the oldest
building. Vigan, Im in Love:))
